Located in the heart of city Peshawar, Chief is a fast food restaurant that offers a great menu to customers specializing in quality Burgers & Chicken products. Chief Burger is known for its Sizzling Steak, Chicken Cheese Burger, Special Chief Pizza and Chicken Chow Mein. Having such a versatile menu has added to the charm and attraction of the restaurant. However, boasting such a diverse menu created multiple complications with costing, inventory management, dish consistency and skill set required to deliver.

Restaurant owner Mr. Nasar Javed has worked hard towards building and maintaining his business. To provide excellent service and food, Nasar Javed believes in utilizing the best quality ingredients and processes. He has equipped his kitchen with the best available equipment possible however they have not been able to ensure consistency in taste, quality and look. Additionally, Peshawar resides in the North Western Province of Pakistan, which has been worst hit in the lat 2 year by terrorist activities. This has made supply/retail of quality food products, especially imported ones, extremely difficult in the region. Naser`s concern is that although choices are few in Peshawar, consumers tend to be wary of going out to eat. One bad experience is all that it takes to deter the clientele from visiting again. Furthermore, “word of mouth” marketing is all that he has replied on to build his reputation and in such instants, even that works against him.

Given the issues faced by Chief Burger, the UFS CDC and UFS distributor in Peshawar took on the challenge to help supply quality products used in Chief Burgers menu, uninterrupted. This required the CDC, based in Islamabad and appx. 150 km from Peshawar, to make numerous visits to Chief Burger in order to analysis and recommend the best assortment of products for Chief Burger, reflecting the menu and consumer tastes and preferences. The UFS distributor based on consumption needs of Chief Burger, ensured that he maintained ample stock of products used by Chief Burger. He stocked these products at his premises, as Chief Burger did not have space to store inventory over a couple of weeks. With this burden of Naved`s shoulders, he was left alone to focus on the quality and consistency of his meals. This has also paved the way for development of new products to enrich the menu and provide more appealing choices to the customers.
